The Royal Villa overlooks 25 rai (equivalent to four hectares) of botanical gardens known collectively as The Mae Fah Luang Garden. Situated at an elevation of 950 metres above sea-level, the Mae Fah Luang Garden consists of flowerbeds planted with a dazzling variety of flowers and shrubs from all corners of the world; among these, over 70 species of cool climate and temperate ornamental and flowering plants that thrive at high altitude are planted in the midst of native plants, leafy shrubs and perennials. A myriad of flowering plants come into bloom all year round and form a splendid hill-side tapestry that changes with the seasons. Frequently described as the most magnificent landscaped garden in the Kingdom of Thailand, and even perhaps, in the Asia Pacific region, in 1993, The Mae Fah Luang Garden was awarded the Pacific Asia Tourism Association’s PATA Gold Awards in the ‘Tourism Development’ category in recognition of its outstanding achievement in the development of a new tourist destination.

Plants and animals exist in an extremely complex web of interconnections. Most flowering plants are pollinated by animals — primarily insects. Pollinating insects are essential to our gardens, to most of the earth’s flowering plants, and to people who are dependent, like every organism on the web of life. There is overwhelming evidence that wild pollinators are declining. Fortunately, there are things that each of us can do to reverse this trend. National Pollinator week is intended to bring attention to the problem AND what we can do: plant native plants, with blooming times that overlap, offer habitats for insect nesting and egg-laying, provide habitats for hibernation and overwintering, and limit the use of poisonous chemicals. For more information read: Pollinator Conservation Handbook, The Xerces Society in association with The Bee Works, by M. Shepherd, SL Buchmann, M. Vaughan, and S. This is now week 3 into flowering. The nitrogen OD is gone. Plants are back to normal. My only concern would be if they get too large for the pot they are in now and become root bound. But as of yet, I don’t see any roots coming out of the bottom holes. Every day I rotate them 180 degrees, put a fan on them for about 1 hour to give the stems some strength, and water them a little less than a quart. They love to drink. This week I will paint the closet walls a flat white. I don’t like how the current off white color reflects light. After these harvest, I will be planting some white widow. There will be no mistakes on my second grow. Note: I have an Oregon state medical marijuana card and can legally grow up to 7 plants.

My girlfriend and I are both medical cannabis patients protected by Prop 215 in California. Although marijuana has been legal in our state for a long time, it is still quite expensive to purchase. After an investment of about $1500 worth of equipment and other indoor gardening necessities (plus PG&E), we are just weeks away from self-sustaining. Now, this is the way it should be! Our 5 flowering plants are from unknown seed (The seeds started it all…..). For our next batch, we have: 3 Cheese clones 3 Purple Diesel clones 3 Lemon Kush 5 Clones from current flowering plants Check out the video and let us know whatyou think………..

These plants are now almost into week 6 of flowering. They should be ready to harvest in a week or two. As you can see in the video there is a finished bud from the same strain of this plant. I had given a plant to a friend of mine who put it outside which flowered too early so yield was not that much. Note: I have an Oregon state medical marijuana card and can legally grow up to 7 plants.
